South Bristol: A state of the art digital community

South Bristol: A state of the art digital community

A number of issues were discussed when local residents and delegates from the South Bristol Digital Neighbourhoods launch event were invited to give their thoughts on what they thought a state of the art digital community might look like.

Suggestions included Working people holding all their meetings online to reduce travel; therefore saving time and money, enhancing quality of life and increasing time spent in your own neighbourhood to spend money locally and support local business.

The participatory workshops, which were part of the launch event for the project, provided an opportunity for people to share and discuss their ideas towards building a community which could potentially benefit from a high tech digitally enabled community.
