Donated PC’s for the Richmond Fellowship
Richmond Fellowship, a community organisation which supports people with mental health issues to live independent lives, is making the most of the iMac computer recently donated to the EverybodyOnline project by a local architects firm.
EverybodyOnline, who is working in partnership with the Richmond Fellowship, is helping 30 of their regular service users to begin their digital journeys learning mouse and keyboard skills, whilst 16 members of staff have recently embarked on a training programme to improve their ICT skills so they can improve both their own work performance and provide support for their clients if required.
Both clients and employees of the Richmond Fellowship are learning their new found skills with support from EverybodyOnline volunteer, Phillipa. Phillipa, who previously attended the EverybodyOnline ‘Microsoft Office Specialist’ and ‘train the trainer’ courses is now qualified to deliver ICT training and run internet based projects, she will work with the Richmond Fellowship and its clients to develop activities, which will be relevant to their various needs and abilities.
