Silver Surfers Day in Alamein

Surf's up for community elders to get a taste of the Internet.

Older people who haven’t used the internet or a computer before are invited to take part in National Silver Surfer’s Day on 15th May 2009 at Askalot, Alamein’s community information shop, located in King Arthurs Way.

The Alamein EverybodyOnline project, in partnership with Test Valley Borough Council, is holding informal Silver Surfer drop-in sessions at the shop from 10 am to 12 Noon, and from 1 pm to 3 p.m. EverybodyOnline Project Officer, Christine Alexander, will be on hand to help new learners surf the internet, and light refreshments are available during the sessions.
