10th EverybodyOnline Launch

The Liverpool EverybodyOnline launch took place between 12.30 and 4.30pm Wednesday 5th April at Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre in Liverpool 8.


The community event was an opportunity for local residents to try their hand at the Internet as well a chance to meet their local EverybodyOnline Project Coordinator, Lucy Ethell. Lucy will permanently based in Liverpool 8 to help the community get to grips with digital technology and the Internet.

The project was opened by local Councillor Richard Marbrow and Derek Wyatt MP. The EverybodyOnline team were there to guide new users through the wonders of the World Wide Web and there were also refreshments, entertainment and giveaways.

The project will be working in partnership with INclude Neighbourhood Regeneration who also came along on the day to talk to people about how they can improve their services.

The EverybodyOnline project is an initiative run by the national charity Citizens Online and is supported by BT. It aims to help communities overcome any barriers they may have to technology so residents can take advantage of the wealth of opportunities digital technology and the Internet has to offer.
