EverybodyOnline provides valuable work experience

EverybodyOnline has partnered with Liverpool Community college to provide students valuable work experience. The aim of the two week placement is to give the individual a valuable set of skills which they can take into future employment as well as assisting them to achieve a higher level qualification.

EverybodyOnline at Ibberton and Belchalwell Village Hall

As part of the Connecting Dorset initiative to connect all Dorset Parish and Town Councils, and up 120 of Dorset’s 200 village and community halls to broadband internet; Ibberton and Belchalwell Village Hall is just one of the village halls to sign up the to the project which provides a laptop computer, broadband internet connection, printer and ongoing training and support. The Village hall’s committee members are now looking forward to providing internet activities and training for local people and businesses in the area.

Fermanagh women doing IT for themselves

EverybodyOnline Northern Ireland (NI) ran a number of introductory computer sessions with Fermanagh Women’s Aid staff and volunteers. The sessions were so successful, staff and volunteers are now encouraging the women they assist to go online to access information and support.

Adapting text to speech enables independence

Ciarrai McKee, a young girl with a visual impairment, was eager to learn how to use e-mails but could not find the support that she needed, until she came across the EverybodyOnline project Armagh and Dungannon, Northern Ireland. Ciarrai has since received the specialised training and support she required and is now looking forward to getting grips with the Internet.

Putting your heart into IT

Northern Ireland (NI) Chest, Heart and Stroke supports people who are affected by chest, heart and stroke related illnesses; it has a number of locally based support groups. After introducing the Lisburn group to the Internet, project officer, Elaine Heath is now extending the free training courses to other Chest, Heart and Stroke groups throughout Northern Ireland.

Bringing a smile across the miles

Internet beginners ‘Google’ their daughter at an EverybodyOnline Internet and email session revealing interesting information that they would never have known if it wasn’t for the power of the Internet.
