Thirty-five initiatives from public, private, charitable and community organisations across Europe have been short listed as finalists for the 2008 European e-Inclusion Awards, a European Commission initiative.

Entries for the European e-Inclusion Awards will close on September 12, 2008. Organisations have only two weeks left to submit their entries, demonstrating how they have used ICT to help address social and digital divides in Europe.

Despite technological progress and enhanced competition, more than one in three Europeans are still excluded from fully benefiting from the digital society.
