A South Derbyshire woman has been crowned Britain’s Digital Hero and awarded a £10,000 prize for a community initiative that encourages schoolchildren to teach their elders how to use the internet.

The charity, Citizens Online, welcomes today’s report from Martha Lane Fox, the government’s Digital Inclusion Champion highlighting that 10 million adults in the UK have never been online.

'Everybody Online - Caithness', the first project of its kind in the Highlands, is holding its official launch on Thursday 17 September at Caithness Horizons, Thurso.
