Shona was born and bred in Thurso, although she did live in Edinburgh while studying for her degree in Media and Culture.

Prior to taking up the post with Citizens Online Shona's work was very community focused - working for her local authority, The Highland Council, as part of their Community Learning and Leisure Team. Shona was a cultural co-ordinator, which involved a lot of work with the local primary and secondary schools, as well as working with various community groups and voluntary organisations. Shona really enjoyed this part of her work and looks forward to continuing with community based projects in her new role as Citizens Online Project Officer.

Shona trys to keep herself fit, she is currently in training for her first 10k, and also enjoyings travelling, eating out and reading. Shona lives with her fiancée and is set to get married in April 2010.
